We are restarting the Community Lunches on Friday 17th September. We'd love to see old friends once more and also make new ones. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help in any way. We could do with a few more people to volunteer to be on the kitchen duty rotas, or put tables / chairs or act as a driver. Most Friday lunchtimes during the year we host and run a community lunch in our main hall. Around 50 guests assemble from noon onwards for a meal, commencing at 12.30, of a main course followed by dessert and a hot drink. The meals are home made and produced by our qualified chef assisted by a willing band of helpers. Friendships are made and sustained in a convivial atmosphere. A chance to get together once a week. Each week we have fantastically home made main courses and deserts (with gluten free option - please let us know in advance as everything is freshly prepared). Main courses range from cottage pie topped with crunched new potatoes through to Hunter's chicken with creamy mash potatoe. There's always a range of seasonal vegetables to accompany the main course. Deserts range from home made apple (from the gardens) crumble with cream / home made custard through to vanilla cheese cake with a hint of lemon. Why not join us?
