Responding to God’s love in Church and Community

Community Lunch

We are restarting the Community Lunches on Friday 17th September. We'd love to see old friends once more and also make new ones. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help in any way. We could do with a few more people to volunteer to be on the kitchen duty rotas, or put tables / chairs or act as a driver. That way we can have four teams once more, so you'd only be on the rota once per month. If you are able to volunteer, or would like more details, please use the contact us button on this website.

Most Friday lunchtimes during the year we host and run a community lunch in our main hall. Around 50 guests assemble from noon onwards for a meal, commencing at 12.30, of a main course followed by dessert and a hot drink. The meals are home made and produced by our qualified chef assisted by a willing band of helpers. Friendships are made and sustained in a convivial atmosphere. A chance to get together once a week. The price of the meal is £5. If you would like to join our regulars then please contact us for more information or to book your first week.

Each week we have fantastically home made main courses and deserts (with gluten free option - please let us know in advance as everything is freshly prepared). Main courses range from cottage pie topped with crunched new potatoes through to Hunter's chicken with creamy mash potatoe. There's always a range of seasonal vegetables to accompany the main course. Deserts range from home made apple (from the gardens) crumble with cream / home made custard through to vanilla cheese cake with a hint of lemon. Why not join us? Please let us know in advance as it helps with catering arrangements. Hope to see you soon!
